Hello, my name is Martin A. Harmon.

I support the Convention of States (COS) Movement.

After reading Mark Levin’s fascinating book, The Liberty Amendments* and gaining a full understanding of why a Convention of States is so important, I decided to create my own independent website, in order to share some of my thoughts with a broader audience!

Our Mission

The Convention of States  effort caught my attention, because it involves real solutions to some of the mounting problems that America is facing.

It promises to allow a venue where our State Legislatures can propose amendments to limit inappropriate spending and taxation, minimize bureaucracy and restore state sovereignty.

I have shared more than 500 copies of Mark Levin’s book* with family, friends and business associates, to try to get the word out at my own expense.  This book is fantastic and I highly recommend it.

The Framers of the Constitution never intended for the federal government to directly rule over individuals and their property and business pursuits —- but that is EXACTLY what is happening today! Government overreach is out of control and I want to help return a share of the power to the individual states, so they can ONCE AGAIN influence Congressional lawmaking! ARE YOU WITH ME?

This website is just one of the ways that I am trying to do my part to give back in some small way, specifically to help our country, which is still in an economic downslide.

I write today as a private citizen and as a businessman, as well as a concerned father, grandfather and great-grandfather. After more than 50 years in businessand still working at age 80I want to do all that I can to get America back on track!

Politics have long been a hobby of mine and I have supported candidates from many diverse backgrounds.  I don’t choose who to support by their political party – I make these decisions according to the way I feel about each candidate’s character, values, work history and integrity!

This is how I have approached the Convention of States project.

Like many Americans, I am deeply concerned about the astronomical federal deficit and the growing dysfunction in Washington, D.C.

As a developer, the burdensome regulatory climate imposed by the federal government bureaucracy is very much on my mind.  I have a construction project right now that has been in the preliminary approval process for more than eight years!  I want to create jobs right now, and the government won’t let me!

After all that my fellow Americans and I have worked for, we don’t want to see our future generations grow up in a country that is burdened by economic turmoil.

We don’t want them to experience the government overreach that my generation has suffered through or the crippling taxation that continues to rise.
